LEXINGTON, KY – Charleston Southern Men's Track and Field will open their time at the NCAA East Regional on Wednesday evening which will be hosted by the University of Kentucky. The Buccaneers have three student-athletes that qualified for the event with them competing in four events during the week.
The top 12 finishers in each event at the conclusion of the week will advance to the NCAA Championships which will be held in Eugene, Oregon from June 10-13.
There will be coverage of the event tonight beginning at 6 p.m. on ESPN+. Additionally, live results will be available on flashresults.com throughout the week.
ODIN FERENCY – SHOT PUT FIRST ROUND – WEDNESDAY @ 6:30 PM
Ferency took third in the Big South Championships in the shot put for an All-Conference performance. He threw a career best of 17.80m at the Georgia Tech Invite late in the season. The throw places him second in school history in the event and seventh in conference history. He enters the week as the #93 national seed and as #46 in the East.
LADEN BECKWITH – 100M DASH FIRST ROUND – WEDNESDAY @ 7:00 PM
Beckwith enters the meet with a career best time of 10.09 which was recorded at the Big South Championships in the finals of the event. He won the event with his time breaking the school record and now ranks second in conference history. He is the #26 national seed in the event and #14 in the East region going into the meet.
ADEN PRICE – 400M DASH FIRST ROUND – WEDNESDAY @ 7:25 PM
Price won the 400m dash at the Big South Championships earlier this month. He ran his career best of 45.67 at the Charlotte Invite to end the regular season with this marking a new school record and the fourth-best in conference history. He enters the week as the #44 national seed and as the #25 seed in the East region.
LADEN BECKWITH – 200m DASH FIRST ROUND – WEDNESDAY @ 8:45 PM
Beckwith recorded a career best time of 20.54 in the finals of the 200m at the Big South Championships to win the event. His time ranks as a new school record and as the seventh-fastest in conference history. He enters the meet as the #62 national seed in the event and as the #28 in the East region.
