LEXINGTON, KY – Charleston Southern Men's Track and Field concluded their season on Friday evening in the quarterfinal rounds of the NCAA Championships. The Buccaneers had a pair of runners compete in events during the day but did post fast enough times to move forward in the postseason.
Laden Beckwith placed 21
st overall in the 100m dash in this round of the event. He had a time of 10.37 (+0.7) during the second heat of the event.
Aden Price claimed 22
nd in the field in the 400m dash in this round. He had a time of 45.96 and raced in the first heat of the event, and beat out a runner from Navy and East Carolina.
These two freshmen Buccaneers helped rewrite the school record books during the outdoor season in the men's sprinting events. Beckwith now owns the program records in the 100m and 200m with times of 10.09 and 20.54 while Price does in the 400m with a 45.66. All three of these times rank inside the Big South's all-time top ten as well.
