LEXINGTON, KY – Charleston Southern Men's Track and Field will conclude their time at the NCAA East Regional on Friday evening which will be hosted by the University of Kentucky. The Buccaneers have a pair of student-athletes that qualified for the national quarterfinals and will be seeking to punch their tickets to the National Championship in their heats tonight.
The top 12 finishers in each event at the conclusion of the week will advance to the NCAA Championships which will be held in Eugene, Oregon from June 10-13. The top three finishers in each of the three heats as well as the next three fastest times will be the ones moving ahead to the next round.
There will be coverage of the event tonight beginning at 5 p.m. on ESPN+. Additionally, live results will be available on flashresults.com throughout the week.
LADEN BECKWITH – 100M DASH QUARTERFINALS – FRIDAY @ 6:35 PM
Beckwith enters the meet with a career best time of 10.09 which was recorded at the Big South Championships in the finals of the event. He won the event with his time breaking the school record and now ranks second in conference history. He is the #26 national seed in the event and #14 in the East region going into the meet. On Wednesday, he ran a 10.29 to tie for 23rd and move forward to the next round.
ADEN PRICE – 400M DASH QUARTERFINALS – FRIDAY @ 6:50 PM
Price won the 400m dash at the Big South Championships earlier this month. He ran his career best of 45.67 at the Charlotte Invite to end the regular season with this marking a new school record and the fourth-best in conference history. He enters the week as the #44 national seed and as the #25 seed in the East region. On Wednesday, he ran a slight personal best and school record time of 45.66 to claim 17th and qualify for the next round.
