CHARLESTON, S.C. – The volleyball match between Charleston Southern and The Citadel, scheduled for September 27, has been moved to tomorrow night with first serve at McAlister Field House at 6:30 p.m.
The Bucs (4-6) will be looking to bounce back after dropping three hard-fought matches at the Marshall Invite last weekend. The Bulldogs (4-5) have won four of their last five, including a victory at Clemson.
CSU holds a 21-8 lead in the all-time series, but The Citadel won the most recent meeting, a 3-1 victory last September at the Buccaneer Fieldhouse.
CSU boasts a quintet of players who ranked among the statistical elite in the Big South, led by
Angelika Rusin who sits atop the conference with 4.72 digs per set. Two Bucs are in the top 10 in kills per set, with
Peyton Thompson ranked second (3.89) and
Skylar Yates placing seventh (2.82).
Emilee Karelse is second in assists per set (9.03), and
Indigo Young is third in hitting percentage (.325).
