ATLANTA, GA – Women's Track and Field finished their time at the Georgia Tech Invitational on Saturday with the sprinters seeing the most action on the day.
Grenisha Thomas claimed third overall in the 400m hurdles with a time of 59.17. Other top performers from the Bucs included
Chloe Greene who had a 1:00.80 and
Brenda du Toit with a 1:01.17.
Barbara de Kock ran a 1:02.27 and Chloe Mae Wilks had a 1:05.53.
In the 400m,
Maya Clark ran a time of 54.03 while
Caroline Aslerin had a 55.87. In the 200m, Aslerin had a time of 24.54 while Clark recorded a 24.70. Also in the event were
Katelyn Grate who had a 24.93 and Danea Niles with a 24.94.
In the 800m,
Freya Buglass was the fastest runner of those that represented CSU in it. She had a time of 2:13.48 while
Lucy McNamara had a 2:15.86 and
Sienna Rose a 2:20.12.
Greene competed in the high jump and had a mark of 1.57m, clearing it on her first attempt of the day.
Zemaya Carson was the Bucs' top finisher in the discus throw with a mark of 45.92m.
Avah Morrison also threw in it and had a best mark on the day of 41.74m.
Charleston Southern will be back in action next weekend for their final one of the regular season. They will compete in the Charlotte Invitational which will be held from Friday, April 24 through Saturday, April 25 with the Big South Championships to be from Monday, May 11 through Wednesday, May 13.
