CHARLESTON — Wednesday afternoon, the Big South Conference announced its newest Women's Tennis Player of the Week Award of the 2026 Spring season, Charleston Southern's Marina Skegro.

Skegro went a perfect 2-0 on the week against Presbyterian's top singles players and best doubles pairing. She defeated Roxana Valdes on Court No. 1 – 6-4, 6-2. In doubles, she and Carlota Farres defeated the Blue Hose's top tandem in dominating fashion – 6-1.

The TennisBucs will suit up again on Friday, April 10th at 9:30 AM against the South Carolina State Bulldogs.
