SNOW HILL, N.C. – The Charleston Southern men's golf team competed at the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate, finishing 13th in the 14-team field with a three-round total of 906 (42-over par). The tournament was hosted by East Carolina and played at Cutter Creek Golf Club, a par-72 layout.
Theo Takman led the Buccaneers tying for 24th overall, carding rounds of 74, 75, and 72 to finish at 221 (5-over par). Takman closed strong with an even-par 72 in the final round to pace Charleston Southern's lineup.
Bailey Bjornson followed with a tie for 31st, posting rounds of 75, 76, and 72 to finish at 223 (7-over par). Like Takman, Bjornson finished his tournament with his best round, shooting even par in the final round.
Dewi John finished tied for 54th at 229 (13-over par) after rounds of 74, 78, and 77, while Alex North carded scores of 75, 79, and 79 to finish tied for 67th at 233 (17-over par).
Spencer Benton posted rounds of 79, 81, and 79 to finish 84th overall at 239 (23-over par), and Michael Rauscher rounded out the Buccaneers' competitors with consistent rounds of 80, 80, and 80 to tie for 85th at 240 (24-over par).
As a team, Charleston Southern opened the tournament with a 298 before shooting 308 in the second round and closing with a 300 in the final round.
