HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – Charleston Southern Men's Golf completed their first tournament of the spring on Tuesday afternoon at the Wexford Intercollegiate. The Buccaneers claimed 13^th in the field of 18 teams, knocking off a conference foe and pair of Ivy League programs.
 
The team ended with a +42 on the week with them posting back-to-back +11s in the second and third rounds. On the final day, they moved up a spot on the leaderboard as they shot one of the better rounds in the field.
 
Layne Lambert was the team's leader at the event with him taking a top-15 finish, tying for 14^th. He ended the tournament with a +3 having rounds of 72, 74, 73.
 
Dewi John was the next highest on the team with a +10 claiming a tie for 35^th. He had a final round of 73 to shoot up 19 spots within the field, having a better round each time out on the course.
 
Rounding out the Buccaneers lineup were Alex North (T62, +15), Theodor Takman (66, +17) and Harrison Parker (T74, +19).
 
The team will return to action in three weeks as they will be traveling to Jackson Springs, N.C. to compete in the Laker Spring Break Shootout. Mercyhurst is serving as the tournament host for the event held from March 7-8.
