Quick Hits
New Season, New Energy: The Buccaneers begin the 2025-26 season following a year that saw them win the second-most conference games in program history (10). CSU was picked to finish fifth in the Big South preseason poll.
Bailey Headlines the Backcourt: Junior guard
Tyonna Bailey was named to the Big South Preseason All-Conference Second Team after averaging 8.9 points per game last season. Bailey reached double figures eight times, including a career-high 21 points and the game-winning shot at Gardner-Webb.
Experienced Core, Dynamic Newcomers: CSU returns seven players from last year's roster and welcomes six newcomers (four transfers, two freshmen). Notable additions include
Thelma Barbitch (UTEP), who tallied 13 points at Liberty last season, and
Asha Sra (Grand Canyon), a playmaking guard with 28 games of Division I experience. Freshmen Aïssé Coulibaly (Paris, France) and
Nevaeh Jones (Bastrop, Texas) bring athleticism and size, with Jones averaging 18 points and 14 rebounds in high school.
Challenging Non-Conference Slate: CSU's non-conference schedule features 13 games, including six home matchups and four Power Four opponents (Georgia Tech, Clemson, North Carolina, and Georgia). The Bucs will also host four in-state opponents, highlighted by Clemson's visit to the Buc Dome on Dec. 17.
Opponent Information: Jacksonville
	- The Dolphins were picked seventh in both the ASUN Coaches and Media Preseason Polls, returning much of their core from a 10-win team that finished seventh in the conference standings a season ago.

	- Graduate guard Priscilla Williams, a unanimous Preseason All-ASUN Team selection, headlines the roster after averaging 12.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game last year. The former high school All-American recorded seven double-doubles and led Jacksonville in nearly every major statistical category, including blocks and steals.

	- Off the court, Jacksonville retooled its staff this offseason with the additions of assistant coach and director of player development Shenneika Smith — a St. John's Hall of Famer and former WNBA player — and assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Sharay Hall, who brings experience from Rider, Colgate, and Millersville.
