Pawleys Island, S.C. - Men's golf finished their opening tournament on Tuesday afternoon placing seventh and shooting an 868 (+4) for the three rounds. The event was held over a 6971 yard course in Pawley's Island, South Carolina with a par of 72.
Theodor Takman finished tied for eighth in the tournament. He had great rounds all weekend shooting a 70 the first round and followed it with a fantastic second round scoring a 69 and then ended the tournament by scoring a 70.
Layne Lambert also had a great outing ending the weekend tied for 2
3rd. After firing a 75 in the opening round, he shot under par in each of the next two rounds with scores of 71 and 70.
Griffin Tarver had an impressive last two rounds of the weekend putting him in tied for
31st. Following a 75 in the opening round, he shot a 71 on the second day and closed the tournament with an even 72.
Also seeing action during the week were
Harrison Parker and
Dewi John. John finished the week with a +12 while Parker was at +13.
As a team Charleston Southern put up a score of 285 in the second and third rounds which was only six strokes over Arkansas State in the second round, who won that day as well as the whole event.
The next outing for the Bucs will be at the JT Poston Invitational in Cullowhee, North Carolina which will be held from Sunday, September 15 through Tuesday, September 17.
