CARROLTON, GA – The Charleston Southern women's soccer team used two first-half goals to take home their first victory of the season by a 2-1 score over the West Georgia Wolves on Sunday afternoon.
The Bucs (1-2-0) jumped out to a 1-0 lead within the first seven minutes of the match, as
Daniela Contreras scored her first goal of the season with a bicycle kick assisted by
Claire DeAngelis.
That was not all for Knight. After the Wolves tied the match at one in the 23rd minute, it only took the Bucs 37 seconds to respond, as Knight broke away from the defense and scored her first goal of the season to make it 2-1.

Both teams put up 11 shots on the afternoon with the Bucs having six shots on goal. Knight and
Daniela Contreras both had two shots on goal, while DeAngelis and
Reese Beggs each had one.
Jenna Moran had three saves in 61 minutes, and
Avery Mason got her first action of the season with 29 minutes of play.
