PHOENIX, AZ - The Charleston Southern women's soccer team traveled out west this weekend, as they took on the Grand Canyon Antelopes, falling 3-0 in a late-night battle at GCU Soccer Complex on Sunday night.
The Antelopes (1-1-0) jumped out early, as they scored the match's first goal within the first five minutes. Neither team scored again until the 74
th minute, when the Antelopes strung together two goals in a three-minute span to take a 3-0 lead.
Grand Canyon controlled most of the match offensively, putting up 20 shots with nine shots on goal compared to six shots and two on goal for Charleston Southern (0-2-0). The Antelopes had eight corner kicks compared to one for the Buccaneers.
Jenna Moran had six saves on the night.
