CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Charleston Southern women's soccer team dropped a conference home match on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Longwood Lancers by a 2-0 score at CSU Soccer Field.
The Lancers (4-9-5, 3-2-3 in conference) scored one goal in each half, starting with one in the seventh minute to take a 1-0 lead. In the second half, the Lancers scored in the 59
th minute, as a header just crossed the line to make it 2-0.
Avery Mason started in goal for the Buccaneers (5-6-3, 2-3-1 in conference) and had three saves. Charleston Southern had one shot on the afternoon compared to nine for Longwood.
