SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Jenéa Knight scored twice on Wednesday night, but three goals in the second half guided the USC Upstate Spartans to a 3-2 victory over the Charleston Southern women's soccer team at County University Soccer Stadium.
Knight scored with her right foot in the first half with help from
Danika Birch, who set up the goal with a pass in the sixth minute. Then, Knight started the second half with a backwards header to give the Bucs (5-5-3, 2-2-1 in conference) a 2-0 lead.
The Spartans (7-4-4, 4-1-2 in conference) got on the board in the 57
th minute with a penalty kick, and they continued to attack. With 13 minutes left in the second half, Upstate tied the match and took the lead five minutes later.

Upstate got the best of Charleston Southern in the shot department, as they out shot the Buccaneers 21 (8 SOG) to 8 (6 SOG).
Avery Mason started in goal for the Buccaneers, collecting five saves.
