CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston Southern women's soccer team celebrated their five seniors with a 2-0 on Saturday, as they shut out the Alabama A&M Bulldogs at CSU Soccer Field.
Lilly Walker scored her first-career goal in the final minute of the second half to give the Bucs (5-2-2) the victory in the final non-conference match of the season. The Bucs had a season-high 19 shots (7 SOG)
The scoring started in the 16
th minute, when
Lauren McDonald scored her first goal of the season to give Charleston Southern the 1-0 lead.
Madisen Mitchum had the assist on the corner kick.
Jenna Moran and
Sara Curtis combined to shut out the Bulldogs (0-7-0) for their fourth shutout of the season. The Bulldogs had just five shots with two on goal, both of which were in the first half.
