Bucs Shut Out Hornets En Route to Season's First Win

DOVER, DE - The Charleston Southern women's soccer team put together a clean sheet on Saturday, as they cruised to a 3-0 victory on the road against the Delaware State Hornets for their first win of the season. 

Daniela Contreras, Sam Carlson and Kayla Reese each scored their first goals of the season, and Sara Curtis played all 90 minutes and had a save. The Buccaneer defense allowed just one shot and one shot on goal in the contest. CSU had nine total shots on offense.

The Bucs (1-1) scored the match's first goal, when Contreras scored on a penalty kick to give CSU the 1-0 lead at the 30:46 mark of the first half. 

Charleston Southern kept the momentum going in the second half, as Reese made it 2-0 early at the 64-minute mark, and Carlson scored the final goal of the match in the final stretch
