Beggs Goal Preserves 1-1 Tie in Clinton

CLINTON, S.C. - Reese Beggs nailed down her first goal of the season on Wednesday, as the Charleston Southern women's soccer came away from their final road match of the 2023 season with a 1-1 tie against the Presbyterian Blue Hose. 

After a scoreless first half, the Blue Hose (3-9-2, 2-3-1 in conference) got off to a 1-0 lead in the 51st minute. In the 73rd minute of Wednesday's affair, Beggs tied the match for the Bucs (7-4-4, 2-2-2 in conference). Claire DeAngelis had the assist on the play. 

Jenna Moran added five saves to her conference-leading season, and Charleston Southern had 23 shots all night offensively, including 16 in the second half. Beggs, Dakota Fiedler and Jessica Boyle each had two shots on goal.
