CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern women's tennis remained perfect in the Big South Saturday evening with a home sweep over UNC Asheville. The 7-0 sweep at the Gary Clark Banks Sr. Tennis Center runs CSU's Big South regular season winning streak to 16 across three seasons.
 
The match started with Charleston Southern (13-5, 7-0 Big South) clinching the doubles point after Laura Marti and Luiza Fullana battled to a tiebreak win at #1 doubles to join Madalina Man and Khyanna Singh in taking points at the doubles competition.
 
Singles went the way of the Buccaneers as well, as UNC Asheville (12-5, 4-4 Big South) was unable to take a point from the strong CSU lineup. All six flights ended in straight sets in favor of the home team as Tiffany Pyritz stayed perfect in singles play in the Big South with a 6-2, 6-0 result to lead the way. 
 
Sunday will feature a clash with Radford, as the two sides met in the Big South Championships title match a season ago where Charleston Southern was able to take the crown with a 4-1 result. The Highlanders are another team CSU has found much success with, taking 28 of the possible 33 meetings, including the last 16. With Sunday being Senior Day, the festivities will start at approximately 12:40 p.m. with the match slated for a 1:00 p.m. start.
 
Prior to Sunday's match, Charleston Southern will honor Tiffany Pyritz for Senior Day, as the Team Captain will be celebrated by Head Coach Anca Dumitrescu and her bunch. Pyritz sports a 11-1 overall record in singles play this year and a 6-6 record in doubles play with Zoe Cauthen. A 5-0 Big South record is sported by Pyritz in singles play and she and Cauthen have combined for a 1-1 record in doubles.
