CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern women's tennis capped their second-straight undefeated season in Big South play Sunday taking down Radford by a 6-1 margin. The perfect Big South slate is the fifth time in program history perfection has been reached.
The match started with Charleston Southern (14-5, 8-0 Big South) cruising in the doubles portion, earning the point after taking all three flights.
Luiza Fullana and
Laura Marti stormed to a 6-0 results and
Madalina Man and
Khyanna Singh joined
Amila Jusufbegovic and
Noa Boyd in 6-4 results.

Singles went the way of the Buccaneers as well, as Radford (10-10, 4-4 Big South) took just a single point from the strong CSU lineup.
Tiffany Pyritz came from behind to stay perfect in Big South singles play at court number five to join
Zoe Cauthen in her comeback bid that resulted in a win at #6 singles in a tiebreak. Fullana looked strong at the second flight, cruising to a 6-3, 6-1 win and Marti answered the call as well with a 6-2, 6-4 result at the third court. Singh looked strong as well at #4, racing to a 6-1, 6-2 result in her last regular season conference action of the year.Â
Sunday's win makes it 17-straight regular season Big South victories heading into the Hercules Tires 2022 Big South Women's Tennis Championships where they will be the No. 1 seed. Charleston Southern will face the No. 4 seed (opponent to be determined) Saturday in the semifinals round from Charlotte, N.C.
