GADSDEN, Ala. – Charleston Southern men's golf climbed the team leaderboard with two players finishing in the Top 10 following final round play Tuesday at the Graeme McDowell Intercollegiate at the Robert Trent Jones Trail at Silver Lakes course.

TEAM JUMP
The Bucs finished the final 18 with a team score of 294, six shots lower than Monday's second round, to rank among the Top 10 teams. They were one of just four schools to post better results in the final round than the second, joining FGCU, Louisiana and Georgia State.

TWO IN TOP 10
Alan Smith carded a 1-under par 71 to finish in a tie for seventh. While most of his last 18 holes consisted of pars, he did birdie the par-3, 194-yard No. 5 and then opened the back nine with consecutive birdies on the par-5, 568-yard 10th and par-4, 466-yard 11th. He played Even par the rest of the way.

Ethan Willis matched his teammate with a cumulative 2-under par total for the tournament. He also tallied three birdies among his final 18 holes, including the par-3 206-yard 2nd, the par-4, 401-yard 6th and par-4, 455-yard 12th.

BIRDIE KING
Griffin Tarver also recorded a final round 71 thanks to five birdies in his last 10 holes. He was able to finish holes No. 9, No. 10, No. 12, No. 14 and No. 17 all one stroke less than par, which included a 2-under par 34 after making the turn.

UP NEXT
Charleston Southern returns to the links at the BMW Invitational in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Oct. 11-12. The tournament will be play hosted by fellow Big South member USC Upstate at The Carolina Country Club.
