BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Charleston Southern volleyball overcame a slow start in the first set to earn a 3-1 (12-25, 28-26, 25-22, 25-20) win Saturday in Big South action over Gardner-Webb taking a road series split in the process.

The trio of Dayana Chara, Gabby Naninseni and Indigo Young paced the Buccaneer (8-4, 8-4 Big South) frontline Saturday keeping the Bucs' track for a second-place finish in tact. Gardner-Webb (4-10, 4-10 Big South) took the opening set but the Bucs showcased their top-tier pedigree flexing their muscles for three-straight wins over the final three sets.

Chara had 17 kills, Naniseni added 13 and Young had 10 to outduel the Runnin' Bulldog frontline of Garrison (14 kills) and Donaldson (13 kills). Two of Naniseni's career-best 13 kills came as set points Saturday while Young reached double figures for the second time in her young Buccaneer career.
