CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Buccaneers went the distance against Big South leader High Point this Sunday before losing to a last minute goal in double overtime.
The defense held the Panthers to their lowest scoring match since the last time the two teams faced off in November of 2019.
Bri Robinson continued to lead things offensively for the Bucs, tallying two shots in 89 minutes played.
Jenna Moran faced seven shots on frame, making six saves, tying her season high. For the defense,
Maddie Reilly,
Juliana Barbaccia, and
Kayla Robinson played the complete match, marking four consecutive matches without being subbed off.
The High Point goal came off the head of Sophia Muetterties, her first goal as a Panther. Charleston Southern falls to 1-2-1 in conference play while High Point remains undefeated at 6-0. The Bucs will hit the road for a two-game skid before returning back home.
