CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern volleyball plays its last two home games of the season Friday and Saturday when it welcomes Winthrop and Gardner-Webb to Buccaneer Fieldhouse.
The Bucs will honor
Rachel Feggeler prior to Friday's match, which has been designated as CSU's Senior Day. Friday's match will also be streamed on ESPN+.
CSU is coming off a three-set loss to Radford on the road.
Peyton Thompson had a match-high 10 kills in the setback, while
Emma Minnick's 22 assists led all players in the match.
Ashleigh Holweger led the Bucs with 12 digs, while Minnick also had seven. 13 of the Bucs' 23 kills in the match came in the second set.
Thompson leads the Bucs with 298 kills and leads the Big South with 3.68 kills per set.
Paige Reagor and
Indigo Young have both eclipsed 100 kills this season, while
Ella Lochbiler and
Kaileigh Ammons have both surpassed 50 kills. Minnick leads the conference with 699 assists, while her 9.32 assists per set rank second in the Big South. Holweger surpassed the 300-digs mark last week and has a team-high 317 for the season.
CSU is currently tied for seventh in the Big South with Gardner-Webb at 4-8 in conference play, just behind sixth-place Presbyterian at 5-7. The top six teams will make the Big South Tournament, which is hosted by Campbell this year.

Winthrop – Friday, Nov. 5 at 6 p.m.
2020-21 Record: 13-9, 8-4 Big South
Winthrop enters the weekend at 13-9 overall and 8-4 in conference play. The Eagles are coming off consecutive sweeps at home over UNC Asheville and USC Upstate.
Morgan Bossler leads the Eagles with 229 kills, while Nikkia Benitez surpassed the 200-kill mark as well and has 204 for Winthrop. Jana Evans has 654 assists for the Eagles, who have four different players with more than 200 digs.
Winthrop and CSU last met in October, with the Eagles winning in three sets in Rock Hill.
Gardner-Webb – Saturday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m.
2020-21 Record: 7-15, 4-8 Big South
Gardner-Webb enters the weekend at 7-15 overall and 4-8 in conference play. The Runnin' Bulldogs have lost each of their last five matches and are 1-6 in their last seven.
Kylee Garrison leads GWU with 201 kills, while four other Runnin' Bulldogs have also surpassed 100 kills. Tori Weatherley has a team-high 435 assists, while Lauryn Roccasin has also seen time as a setter and has 286 assists. Mikah McIntosh has 415 digs and her 5.39 digs per set are tops in the conference.
GWU and CSU last met in October, with the Runnin' Bulldogs winning in five sets in Boiling Springs.
