CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern closes its three match homestand this weekend, as the Bucs face off against High Point on Friday and North Carolina A&T on Saturday.
The Bucs earned their second conference win of the season in their last match, a three-set sweep of Radford inside the Buc Dome.
Peyton Thompson had a match-high 18 kills in the sweep, while
Emma Minnick had 36 assists. CSU had seven aces as a team and limited Radford to a hitting percentage of just .129 for the match.
Thompson leads the Bucs with 206 kills, while
Paige Reagor has 133 on a team-leading .374 hitting percentage.
Indigo Young and
Gabrielle Naniseni are both nearing 100 kills for a balanced CSU attack.
Ashleigh Holweger leads the Bucs with 228 digs, while Minnick eclipsed the 500-assist mark for the season in the Bucs' last match against Radford.

2020-21 Record: 14-5, 6-0 Big South
Defending Big South champion High Point enters the weekend at 14-5 overall and 6-0 in Big South play. The Panthers have won six straight matches and are also riding a 22-match conference win streak dating back to the 2019 season.
Dylan Maberry leads the Panthers with 227 kills, while three other High Point players have topped 100 kills this season in a balanced attack. Mackenzi Thornburg and Maria Miggins both have eclipsed the 350-assist mark this season, while Jenny Wessling has a team-high 259 digs.
High Point won both matches against the Bucs last season, needing five sets in each match inside the Buc Dome.
North Carolina A&T – Saturday, Oct. 16 at 2 p.m.
2020-21 Record: 12-7, 4-3 Big South
Big South newcomer North Carolina A&T enters the weekend at 12-7 overall and 4-3 in Big South play. The Aggies are in their first season as conference members after joining from the MEAC.
Naiya Sawtelle leads the Aggies with 228 kills, while three additional Aggies have eclipsed the 100-kill mark. Edie Brewer and Addy Warfield have split the setting duties and have 393 and 320 assists, respectively. Andrea Laboy-Rivera has a team-high 237 digs, while four other North Carolina A&T players have more than 100.
Charleston Southern and North Carolina A&T last met in 2019, a three-set win for the Bucs.
