CHARLESTON – This week, Charleston Southern Volleyball welcomed the newest member of its staff, Assistant Coach Julia Abramo Rocha.
A native of São Paulo, Brazil, Rocha most recently served as a graduate assistant at the University of Charleston in West Virginia. While with the Golden Eagles in 2025, Rocha and the rest of the UC staff compiled a 23–13 overall record and an 11–4 conference record, finishing with a Mountain East Conference championship. At the end of her two-year stint at UC, Rocha graduated with her MBA in Business Analytics.
As a student-athlete, Rocha was a setter at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) and Otero College. She graduated from UTRGV with a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, and also served as one of the institution's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) representatives.
Also this spring, CSU Volleyball added Lena Pucnik as the program's newest Graduate Assistant Coach. Pucnik played her college volleyball days at Life University in Atlanta, Georgia. An outside hitter, Pucnik recorded 1,493 kills, 1,414 digs, 157 service aces, and 152 total blocks during her five-year collegiate career.
