SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Charleston Southern's Ben Carroll fired the Bucs' low score for the second-straight day as the men's golf program concluded play at the Carolina Collegiate Invitational Tuesday at The Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg.

CARROLL UNDER PAR, AGAIN
A 1-under par 71 by Carroll placed him atop of the team's leaderboard. He notched three birdies, matching the effort of three other Buccaneers, by dropping in under par scores on the par-3, 218-yard 8th, the par-5, 514-yard 13th and par-5, 515-yard 18th.

The birdie on the 8th was his only non-par on the front nine, as he made the turn at 1-under par.

SMITH AND WILLIS TOE-TO-TOE, AGAIN
Back-and-forth throughout the two tournaments thus far this spring, Alan Smith and Ethan Willis have played consistently with near identical scores. Tuesday was no different with both players rounding out with a tie in the individual standings. Smith posted a 1-over par 73 Tuesday, using birdies on the par-4, 422-yard 1st, par-4, 395-yard 9th and par-4, 383-yard 14th to stay around the Even par mark.

Willis' day featured an eagle on his final hole, No. 18, but also making three birdies. His under-par scores were recorded on the par-4, 405-yard 5th, par-4, 411-yard 7th and 13th.

LOUDIN CONTRIBUTES TO CONCLUDE FIRST TOURNEY
With three more birdies on his card, Caleb Loudin wrapped up his first tournament of the campaign by adding the final individual score with a 4-over 76. He joined Willis with a birdie on the 5th before adding back-to-back birdies on the par-3, 165-yard 12th and being one of three CSU players to do so on the 13th.

The next tournament for the Buccaneers will be a new addition to the schedule, the Grandover Challenge, at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina, Oct. 23-24.
