Box Score CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Charleston Southern volleyball team fell in straight sets to Winthrop this Saturday afternoon to finish the weekend 1-1.
Winthrop took the match after winning three sets by scores of 27-25, 25-22 and 25-19.
The Bucs fall to 4-5 in the Big South while Winthrop remains undefeated on the year.Â
Brooke Monssen led the Buccaneers offensively with 14 kills and 16 total points.
Paige Reagor followed that up with eight kills of her own to pair with four blocks. A trio of Buccaneers recorded double-digit digs in the loss;
Skylar Blackmon (13),
Macey LaPorte (13), and
Emilee Karelse (12).
Ashleigh Holweger and Karelse split time setting with each tallying 17 and 16 assists, respectively.Â
UP NEXT
The Buccaneers will head to Asheville, N.C. to take on the Bulldogs on Friday, Nov. 1 before heading to USC Upstate the following day to play the Spartans.Â
