Box Score CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston Southern volleyball team dropped their fourth Big South match this Saturday at the hands of the Campbell Camels. The Bucs drop to 2-4 in conference play while the Camels improve to 5-1 on the year.
Charleston Southern finished the first set with six total blocks as
Rachel Feggeler and
Paige Reagor combined for 4.5 of them. Campbell held the lead for the entire set despite hitting .167 as a team.
The Camels would win the second set and the teams would battle back and forth during the third. With the set tied at 21, Karelse served up an ace which followed a Campbell attacking earn to force a timeout for the Camels. Despite the late push, the Bucs would fall in the final set by a score of 25-23.
The Bucs recorded a pair of service aces to go with seven total blocks on the night.
Emilee Karelse finished the match with 14 assists while Reagor and Feggeler aided on the defensive side of the ball.
Charleston Southern will continue with conference play tomorrow, Saturday Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. as they take on Hampton at home.
