CLINTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern and Presbyterian fought to a scoreless 0-0 draw on Wednesday night at Eden Field at Martin Stadium in Big South Conference action.

Gina Cox led the Buccaneers with two shots on goal, while Caitlin Cody turned away all eight of the Blue Hose's shots on goal in the contest to lead the Bucs as CSU and PC battled to the first tie in the series history between the two programs.

CSU moves to 4-6-1 overall on the year, while PC moves to 3-4-2 overall.

Emma Faubert opened up the shot attempts in the contest in the sixth minute, but her attempt was corralled by PC goalkeeper Sydney Fontenot in a trending theme throughout the contest for both teams.

The first half saw CSU and PC record five shots apiece in the match with Faubert's shot attempt the lone CSU shot on target. PC's Kristen Peagler nearly had the opening score in the match at the 14:16 mark, but her attempt hit the crossbar and bounded back into play.

The second half followed a similar trend as Fontenot stopped shots from Cox and Erica Gazzani, while  Cody made several saves, including two in the final 10 minutes of regulation on shots by Louise McGirt and Frances Whitesides to send the match into overtime.

The first overtime period passed without a shot on goal by either team, while Peagler fired an attempt in the 108th minute that was caught by Cody, while Phillips' attempt at the PC goal was blocked by Fontenot as CSU was held to their first tie in the 2014 season.

Cody recorded eight saves in her first action of the 2014 regular season in recording the shutout. Cody continued to move closer to improving to second all-time in the CSU career soccer standings as the redshirt senior has 261 in her career, sitting three behind Susan Anderson (1998-01).

Charleston Southern returns home this weekend as the Buccaneers take on UNC Asheville at the CSU Soccer Field on Saturday afternoon. Kickoff between the Bucs and the Bulldogs is set for 1 p.m.
