Postgame quotes from CSU vs. Air Force

Box Score

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Postgame quotes from Charleston Southern Head Coach Barclay Radebaugh are available after his team's 68-58 loss to Air Force on Saturday night.

On the effort his team gave in defeat:
"I thought our guys competed well. Air Force is much improved over their loss to Northern Colorado, but I wouldn't trade our guys for any team in the world. They played extremely hard tonight. Our kids worked as hard as they could possibly work. They played with great intensity and enthusiasm. We simply didn't make enough shots."

On the start of the second half:
"(Air Force) came out and executed their offense very well. The Princeton offense is very hard to guard. We switched to a zone and they hit a couple of threes. Then we shot a couple of threes against their zone and didn't get back in transition. Two times Jamarco (Warren) shot a three from the corner and some of our young guys didn't get back in transition. Before you know it, we're down double figures."

On his team's play down the stretch:
"From that point on we outplayed them. We completed and our guys thought we were going to win and expected to win until the very last second."

On Air Force's zone defense:
"(Air Force) did a great job of switching up top on our guards in the zone. We got in major foul trouble and had to put a patchwork team on the floor, which made us have to switch to a motion offense. For the last three days, we worked on set plays where we slipped the post players to the goal and we had to piece together a different offense with those guys on the bench."

On his team's offensive attack:
"We got a little stagnant at times, and we could have moved the ball a little better. But honestly - and I think we'll see this when we watch the film - we got tremendous looks. They simply didn't go in."

On how the road environment affected his team's shooting:
"We're not buying in to the fact (that we can't shoot on the road). We can shoot on the road, and we can win on the road. We can play anywhere."
