• Was excellent in serving as the Bucs’ long snapper for the third straight year
• Helped CSU earn back-to-back Big South Conference championships and a FCS Playoff bid

2015

• Earned 2^nd Team All-American honors from STATS FCS
• Was excellent in serving as the Bucs’ long snapper for the second straight year
• Helped CSU earn first outright Big South Conference championship and FCS Playoff bid

2014: Served as CSU''s long snapper on punts, extra points and field goals. 

2012 at Delta State: Smith started in his freshman year with the Statesmen at the long snapper position, recording three tackles in 10 games under head coach Jamey Chadwell.

High School: Smith comes to Charleston Southern by way of Easley High School and Easley, S.C., where he lined up as the long snapper under head coach Chad Smith. He was a three-year letter winner and two year starter at the long snapper position. He was a four-time Special Teams player of the week at Easley and was ranked in the top 20 nationally among all long snappers by multiple sources.

Personal: Son of Michael and Sharon Smith…Born August 2, 1994…Plans to major in Kinesiology…Brother, Joshua Smith, played football at Clemson from 2000-2003.
