Charleston Southern University Athletics

High School: Swearinger comes to Charleston Southern by way of Greenwood, S.C. and Greenwood High School where she lined up at guard under Coach Shelia Rhodes. The 5-5 athlete also lined up in the frontcourt for Coach J.D. Davis on the Georgia Hoopstars club team. During her high school career, she has averaged 16.8 points per game, 4.3 rebounds per game, 2.3 steals per game and 3.3 assists per game.

Coming into 2014-15 she was selected as the #1 player in 4A girls'' basketball in South Carolina and the #2 player in the state regardless of high school classification. The 2014 Region 1 Player of the Year, Swearinger is a two-time All-Region selection and was named to the 2013-14 All-Lakelands team.

Basketball runs in the family for Swearinger as her mother Orma played basketball at Benedict College. Her brother, D.J. is a defensive back at South Carolina, while her cousin Davon Durant lines up for Arizona State. She is the daughter of Robert and Orma Swearinger.
