CHARLESTON – On Saturday, Charleston Southern closed out its home slate in fitting fashion on Senior Day, earning a 5-2 victory over UNC Asheville while honoring seniors Marina Skegro and Camila Molina for their contributions to the program.

The Buccaneers established control early by securing the doubles point with wins on courts two and three. The tandem of Carle Botha and Amike Botha delivered a 6-2 result, while Brenda Yoris and Camila Molina were dominant in a 6-1 victory to clinch the point. Marina Skegro and Carlota Farres Carreter also held a commanding 5-1 lead in their match before it went unfinished, underscoring CSU's strong start across all courts.

In singles play, Charleston Southern showcased its depth with four wins to seal the team result. Fittingly, senior Marina Skegro led the charge at the top of the lineup with a 6-4, 6-2 victory, while Yoris followed with a solid 6-2, 6-3 performance. Carle Botha battled through a tight opening set, winning a tiebreak before pulling away in the second, and Amike Botha added another point with a composed 6-4, 6-2 win.

UNC Asheville picked up wins in two tightly contested matches, including a three-set battle on the No. 3 singles court, but the Buccaneers maintained control throughout the afternoon.

With the win, Charleston Southern not only celebrated its seniors in style but also clinched a Co-Regular Season Championship.
