Taylor Wins Back-To-Back Big South Freshman of the Week Awards

CHARLESTON – On Monday afternoon, the Big South Conference announced its newest Freshman of the Week award winner, Charleston Southern's Jacob Taylor. This marks the third time Taylor has earned the award this season and the first time he has won it in consecutive weeks.

Taylor scored a combined 22 points during the week in games vs. Presbyterian (Feb. 12) and at Radford (Feb. 14). He also shot a combined 9-for-15 from the field (60 percent), which ranked tied for eighth in the conference last week.

Only one other freshman in the Big South has won the Freshman of the Week award three or more times this season, further cementing Taylor's status as one of the league's most promising young talents.

Taylor is the first Charleston Southern freshman to win the Freshman of the Week award three times in a single season since Phlandrous Fleming Jr. (2017–18).
