GREENVILLE, S.C. – Charleston Southern Men's Cross Country raced in their second event of the fall season on Saturday morning at the Furman Invitational. The Buccaneers finished as the runners-up of the event with a team score of 57.
The Bucs were led to the finish line by transfer
Matt Bauer who finished with a time of 18:11.5 for a top ten finish as he took ninth overall.
Caleb Kenyon and
Sam Waldin were the next two across the line as they were in 13
th and 14
th as they had times of 18:24.5 and 18:25.5.
Zach Mickler and
Jeff Wedding rounded out the scoring five for Charleston Southern being right behind Kenyon and Waldin taking 15
th and 16
th overall. Mickler had a time of 18:29.1 while 18:29.2.
Martin Iriondo and
Zack Wedding were the final pair to score for the Buccaneers with their times of 18:40.9 and 18:48.7.
Furman claimed the title with a team score of 19. Carson Williams won the race with a time of 17:52.2
Charleston Southern now begins their preparations for the ECU Pirate Invitational which will be ran on Friday, October 4 and enjoy three weeks of preparation between now and the race.
