MATTHEWS, N.C. - The Charleston Southern women's soccer team had their season come to an end on Thursday, as they fell to the No. 1 Radford Highlanders in the semi-final round of the Big South Tournament by a 2-1 score.
After the top-seeded Highlanders scored first in the 25
th minute, the Bucs answered on a corner kick of their own, as
Abby Angelucci tied the match at one with 10 minutes left in the first half. It was her third goal of the season. The score stayed the same until 70
th minute, when Radford scored to take the 2-1 lead.
The Bucs finished the match with 13 total shots (6 SOG) compared to 19 (9 SOG) for the Highlanders.
Jenna Moran finished with seven saves, including six in the first half.

Charleston Southern finished the regular season with a 9-4-4 (4-2-2 in conference) record. It was their first winning season since 2018. They made it to the Big South Tournament Semi-Finals for the first time since 2005.
Five different players received eight different honors, including two members on the First-Team All-Big South team. This was the best overall finish in the
Jose Gomez era.
