ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Charleston Southern women's soccer team went on the road Wednesday, tying the Winthrop Eagles 1-1 in their third conference match of the season.
Abby Angelucci's goal in the final few minutes of the first half was the only time that the Bucs (6-3-3, 1-1-1 in conference) scored on the evening, as the Eagles (3-4-2, 0-2-1 in conference) had six saves on 16 shots by the Bucs (7 SOG).
To go along with 16 shots, which was the third highest in that regard for Charleston Southern this season, the Bucs also had eight corner kicks compared to the two that the Eagles had.
Jenna Moran had four saves and allowed one goal on the night, as Winthrop jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 37
th minute.
Charleston Southern had a few more opportunities in the final 10 minutes, putting up three shots during that span; however, the Winthrop defense was able to stop the rallies.
