BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Charleston Southern women's tennis remained perfect in the Big South Sunday evening with a road victory at Gardner-Webb. The 5-2 win at the Webb Tennis Complex runs CSU's Big South regular season winning streak to 15 across three seasons.
 
The match started with Charleston Southern (12-5, 6-0 Big South)) clinching the doubles point after wins at flights one and three. Luiza Fullana and Laura Marti cruised to a 6-2 win to set the tone for Madalina Man and Khyanna Singh to take care of a 6-4 result to take the advantage.
 
Singles turned into a comeback affair, as Gardner-Webb (7-8, 5-2 Big South) jumped out to first-set advantages in four of the six singles flights. Marti was able to weather the storm at the second flight to come back and earn a point after a 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 result. Zoe Cauthen answered the call as well, coming back after dropping the first set to earn a point after finishing the remaining sets 6-1, 6-1. 
 
Tiffany Pyritz was able to cruise in her affair, winning 6-2, 6-2 and was joined by Man who was also able to handle her matchup in straight sets to earn another point for CSU. Cauthen's win clinched the match for the Buccaneers right before Marti's effort gave the Bucs their fifth and final point of the match.
 
Charleston Southern will play host to UNC Asheville Saturday, April 9, and Radford just 24 hours later, Sunday, April 10, at the Gary Clark Banks Sr. Tennis Center to round out the Big South Regular Season. Both matches are slated for 1:00 p.m. start times. Sunday's match with Radford will serve as Senior Day for the Bucs.
