CLINTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern women's tennis pushed its winning streak to 14-straight regular season Big South matches with a 6-1 win at Presbyterian Tuesday afternoon.  Â
Â
The match started with Charleston Southern (11-4, 5-0 Big South) clinching the doubles point after wins at flights one and three.
Madalina Man and
Khyanna Singh were up 4-3 at the second doubles tilt, but that match ended unfinished after CSU clinched the doubles decision.
Â
Singles went the way of the Buccaneers as well, as Presbyterian (5-11, 3-2 Big South) found just one decision at #3 singles in a third-set tiebreak as the last match to finish. Charleston Southern took the remaining tilts in singles all by straight sets, highlighted by
Tiffany Pyritz's 6-1, 6-1 victory at the fifth singles.
Â
Charleston Southern's win Tuesday keeps the Big South record blemish-free as the halfway point has been eclipsed. Gardner-Webb, UNC Asheville and Radford are the three remaining conference opponents left on the schedule.
Â
The Bucs return to action Wednesday, March 30, as they are back at the Gary Clark Banks Sr. Tennis Center to take on non-conference opponent Delaware. The affair is slated for a 1:00 p.m. start.
