Anca Dumitrescu's side, as Charleston Southern women's tennis welcomes the Bulldogs to the Gary Clark Banks Sr. Tennis Center for the tenth-straight time in the series. The non-conference match is set for a 12:00 p.m. start Thursday, February 10.
PROTECTING HOME COURT
Charleston Southern kicked-off the Spring 2022 slate with a convincing 6-1 win over Southern Conference member Wofford, dominating the doubles competition and taking all but one singles point. South Carolina State stands as the second home tilt for the Bucs in the early going, as the Big South favorites look to move to 2-0 at the Gary Clark Banks Sr. Tennis Center.
LONG HISTORY
The two sides have met 18 times in the overall series, with Charleston Southern taking 14 of the 18 matches, including 12 straight. The streak started in February of 1996, with the Bucs sweeping South Carolina State 7-0.
The last time the two sides met was back in the 2019-20 campaign, as CSU picked up the doubles point and each of the top-four flights in singles play to claim a 5-2 victory.
