CHARLESTON, S.C. - In their final match of the season, the Charleston Southern soccer team fell by a final score of 1-0 to the Campbell Camels. After 77 scoreless minutes, the Camels broke the tie with a goal from Amber Liston, her first goal of the year. The Bucs lone shot came from a free kick where
Maddie Reilly forced a save from the Camels keeper.
This marks the final game of the season for CSU, finishing 2-6-1 overall and in Big South play. Their two wins came against Winthrop and UNC Asheville.
Bri Robinson led the way in goals for the Bucs with two on the year while
Kayla Reese led the team in assists with a pair. Following the last game, Robinson ranked ninth in shots taken and seventh in shots on frame. In the goal,
Jenna Moran started all matches, recording 33 saves on 88 total shots while allowing 12 goals for a save percentage of .750. Moran finished the season in third for saves per game with 3.67.
The defense for the Buccaneers finished the season with the back line recording the most minutes of the team,
Maddie Reilly (852),
Kayla Robinson (845), and
Juliana Barbaccia (800). The back three combined with Moran in goal, recorded a .115 goals against average, good for second in program history.
