CHARLESTON, S.C. – Georgia State overcame an early Charleston Southern doubles point to defeat the Bucs 4-2 Tuesday in a match that had been suspended after weather delays Monday.
Leading 2-1 after the doubles point and win by freshman
Khyanna Singh, Charleston Southern (1-1) fell to Georgia State's (1-3) comeback effort.
Singh and
Madalina Man moved to 2-0 in doubles play on the season with a 6-4 win on the top flight while
Zoe Cauthen and
Tiffany Pyritz clinched the 1-0 lead on court two with a 6-2 win.
Singh's victory on court three in singles was the lone Buccaneer win as the Panthers took straight-set matches on five and six with a win by forfeit due to injury on court four and three-set win at the top flight.
Madalina Man split her first two sets with her counterpart on court two but her match went unfinished as the Panthers had clinched the win.
