Box Score SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford used wins on four singles courts to overcome an early Charleston Southern lead for a 4-3 win Friday in women's tennis action.

Luiza Fullana took a straight-set match on the fourth flight while Michelle Schmitz fought back for a gut-check three-set win on court five for Charleston Southern (1-2) but Wofford (1-1) got straight-set wins of their own on the top-three courts and three-set win on the final flight to down the Bucs.

The tandem of Zoe Cauthen and Tiffany Pyritz picked up their 10th career win in doubles in only 13 matches together with a 6-1 dominant second flight victory. Schmitz and Fullana made it 2-0 days as they clinched the doubles point on court three by a 6-2 score.

The loss Friday snapped a six-game win streak over the Terriers dating back to the 2010 season in a makeup of what was originally scheduled as the season opener for both squads in January. Charleston Southern concludes their weekend trip atCoastal Carolina Sunday at noon in a series that dates back to the 1981 season.
