Buccaneers prep for No. 16 Duke inside Buc Dome Tuesday

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern women's basketball will make history in its next game, playing host to No. 16 Duke inside the Buccaneer Fieldhouse at Noon Tuesday on ESPN+. While it won't be the first time a 'Power 5' school has played inside the building, it will mark the first nationally-ranked opponent to do so.

Opening Tip
•  The "biggest" home game in program history closes the pre-Christmas calendar for the Bucs, as No. 16-ranked Duke comes to the Holy City for a Noon Tuesday tip-off.

•  Duke is the first 'Power 5'-level conference opponent to play at Charleston Southern since North Carolina Jan. 2, 1992. Wake Forest also has played twice inside Buccaneer Fieldhouse -- Jan. 6, 1981, and Nov. 27, 1982.

•  The Blue Devils' No. 16 ranking is the highest for an opponent inside the Buc Dome, as neither UNC nor WF were among the Top 25 in those previous trips.

•  Charleston Southern concluded its weekend of action to the Georgia State Holiday Classic by dropping a five-point decision to the host Panthers Sunday afternoon. The Bucs lost both games by a combined six points.

•  CSU has won two of its last-four non-conference finales, picking up triumphs at Wofford (12/30/17) 68-45 and against Weestern Carolina (12/13/20) 66-56.
