Charleston Southern scored in both halves Wednesday afternoon while limiting Winthrop to just two shots on target, defeating the Eagles by a 2-0 scoreline at the CSU Soccer Field.
Elizabeth Olsen scored the match-winner in the 20th minute, while

What to Watch For
The Bucs have also been either equal or ahead in shots on target in four of the seven conference matches this season and are 3-1-0 in those matches.
CSU has four clean sheets in the last five matches.
The Bucs have had the advantage or tied with the opponent in corner kicks in six of their seven Big South Conference matches this season.
The 23 shots taken against Presbyterian were a season high for the Bucs and marked the highest single-game output for the Bucs since October 2019.
Scouting Winthrop
Hampton enters the weekend at 1-9-1 overall and 0-5-1 in Big South play. The Pirates have lost six straight matches, with five of those coming against Big South foes. Hampton's lone point in conference play was a goalless draw with Presbyterian.
Zariah Ascue and Maya Martir lead the Pirates with two goals each, while Savyon Hammond has a team-leading four assists and six points. All six of Hammond's points came in the same match, a 5-0 win over South Carolina State
Sydney Johnson has started 10 of the 11 matches in goal for Hampton and has 43 saves with a 2.70 goals against average.
Series Breakdown
Saturday's meeting will be just the third all-time match between the Bucs and Pirates. CSU has a 2-0-0 lead in the series and has outscored Hampton by a 6-0 margin in those matches..
