Madisen Mitchum netted goals in the second half Wednesday afternoon, leading Charleston Southern to a 2-0 win over Presbyterian at the CSU Soccer Field.
Katie Carnes and
Mason Pinkerton assisted on Mitchum's goal, while Ryan's goal was unassisted off a rebound.
Jenna Moran made six saves in net for the Bucs, who outshot PC by a 23-9 margin.
The first half saw just seven combined shots between the teams, but CSU managed a whopping 19 shots in the second half and managed to capitalize on a pair of opportunities from close range.

Jenea Knight and
Emma Ryan lead the Bucs this season with two goals and four points each.
Katie Carnes leads CSU with three assists after providing the helpers on both of Knight's goals and
Madisen Mitchum's goal against PC.
Jenna Moran has started every match between the sticks this season and has 32 saves through seven matches. Moran had a season-high eight saves in a goalless draw against Stetson.
What to Watch For
CSU has outshot its opposition in three of the last four matches.
The Bucs have had the advantage in corner kicks in all three conference matches this season. CSU has also held the advantage in shots and shots on target in two of its three conference matches to date.
The 23 shots taken against Presbyterian were a season high for the Bucs and marked the highest single-game output for the Bucs since October 2019.
Scouting UNC Asheville
UNC Asheville enters the weekend at 3-7-1 overall and 2-1-0 in Big South play. The Bulldogs have won each of their last two matches, a 4-0 thrashing of Hampton and a 1-0 double-overtime win over USC Upstate.
Taylor Gardner leads the Bulldogs with three goals and six points, while Kaiya Boyd has three assists and five points for UNC Asheville. Courtney O'Malley has started seven of UNC Asheville's 11 games in goal and has 32 saves and a 1.40 goals against average.
Series Breakdown
Saturday's meeting will be the 35th all-time match between the Bucs and Bulldogs. CSU has a 17-15-2 advantage in the series and has won each of the last five matches between the schools, including a 2-1 overtime win last season in Charleston.
Charleston Southern and UNC Asheville have split the 14 matches played in Asheville, with each side winning seven.
