Volleyball Sweeps New Orleans; Monssen and Reagor Named All Tournament

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston Southern volleyball team concluded play in the College of Charleston Invitational with a sweep over the University of New Orleans.

-Picked up the first win in program history over New Orleans
-Paige Reagor broke history while hitting .750 with 12 kills on 16 attempts, good for second in program history for hitting percentage in a match 
-Brooke Monssen hits for double digit kills (18) in her ninth consecutive match
-Emilee Karelse picked up 40 assists to push her double digit assist streak to 13
-Skylar Blackmon picked up a season high 17 digs in the win
-Marks the eighth win of the season, putting the Bucs at two games over .500

ALL TOURNAMENT SELECTIONS
Paige Reagor and Brooke Monssen were selected to the All-Tournament Team after stellar performances in the three matches played.
 
Over the ten sets played, Monssen recorded 56 kills on 117 total attempts which garnered her an overall hitting percentage of .313. She also tallied 24 digs and five total blocks.
 
Reagor hitting was one of the most efficient performances in CSU volleyball history. Reagor tallied 25 kills on 42 total attempts to give her a .527 hitting percentage. She also recorded a total of 12 blocks in the tournament.
 
UP NEXT
The Buccaneers will start conference play this Friday, September 27 as they head to Gardner-Webb followed by a match at Winthrop
