RADFORD, VA. - Charleston Southern dropped a 1-0 decision at Radford on Tuesday, putting the Buccaneers on the road for the opening round of the Big South Tournament.

CSU (9-5-2, 5-4-2 Big South) finished in a tie for fourth with Campbell with 16 points but will travel to Buies Creek, N.C., for its quarterfinal game as a result of a 2-1 loss to the Camels. The game will be on Sunday at 2 p.m. Radford (13-2-1, 9-1) won its eighth in a row to claim the Big South regular season title.

How It Happened

• CSU got off to a fast start, taking four shots and three corner kicks in a five-minute span early in the first half
• Radford then took control the rest of the half and finished with a 9-6 advantage over the opening 45 minutes
• The Highlanders continued to put pressure on the CSU defense with a four-shot sequence culminating with the only goal of the game
• In the 52nd minute, Jordan Lundin sent a corner into the box and Jasmine Casarez headed it in to put Radford in front
• The Bucs amped up their attack and attempted three shots in just two and a half minutes beginning in the 63rd minute
• Danielle Maggio had a shot hit the crossbar and another blocked, and Isabelle Mathews had a shot saved over that span
• The Radford defense then held strong, allowing only one more shot with 34 seconds left, but Peyton Motley's attempt was saved

• Radford finished with a 17-11 advantage in shots including 8-4 on goal
• Maggio led the Bucs with a season-high five shots with two being on goal; she has 20 shots on the year including 15 in the last five games
