CHARLOTTE, N.C. - With the season coming to a close as the Big South Conference Tournament is underway in Charleston, S.C., The Big South Conference released its Women's Soccer Honors for the 2011-2012 season.

Charleston Southern University received four awards from the 2011-2012 season. Senior Casey Bolduc was awarded 1st Team All Conference honors along with sophomore Toni Lashley picking up 2nd Team All Conference honors, freshman Stephanie Hand received All Freshman Team accolades as Allison Lewis rounded out the Buccaneer awards with Big South All Academic Team.

Bolduc, a senior from Spartanburg, S.C. started in all 18 contests for the Lady Buccaneers this season anchoring a young back line. Having helped the Lady Bucs collect five shutouts on the year and an overall 1.3 goals against average. Bolduc is viewed as one of the best 1v1 defenders in the Big South Conference. Her knowledge of the game and her pace can make many attackers nervous. Bolduc's tenaciousness and gutsy play has dubbed her one of the best in a CSU uniform and in the Big South Conference. A regular in the CSU blue and white strip since her arrival on campus, Bolduc will add this 1st All Conference honor to her 2008 All Freshman Team award.

Lashley, a sophomore from Waxhaw, N.C. played in 16 matches for the Lady Bucs with eight goals on the season, four of which were game winners. Lashley, took 40 shots on the year having a .200 shot percentage. Lashley's feisty demeanor and speed caused havoc for oppositions defenses this season. Playing in a number of different roles from a lone striker, outside withdrawn forward, as well as a midfielder, Lashley was a threat for the blue and white. Only being a sophomore, Lashley scored vital goals for the Lady Bucs as her four game winners came against USC Upstate, Francis Marion, Longwood, and conference foe Presbyterian.

Hand, a freshman from Kenilworth, N.J. played and started all 18 matches for the Lady Buccaneers as a true freshman. Stepping into a defensive role which was vacated due to the 2010-2011 CSU senior class, Hand did not miss a beat. Using her pace and her anticipatory skills, Hand proved to be a tremendous addition to the Lady Buccaneers this season. Having put her stamp on the CSU line up from the first day of preseason, Hand proved to be a very vital asset to the Lady Bucs back four. Hand played in all 1,655 minutes of action this season was the only freshman to play every minute of every match for CSU this campaign.

Lewis, a sophomore from Greenville, S.C. played and started in all 18 matches for the Lady Bucs having two goals and two assists on the season. A member of the CSU Dean's List in Fall 2010 and Spring 2011, a recipient of the CSU Scholar Athlete in the Fall of 2010 and Spring of 2011, along with a Big South President's Honor Roll for the 2010-2011 campaign Lewis was rewarded again for her hard work off the pitch.
