Box score

CHARLESTON, S.C. - UNC Asheville forward McKenna Stockhausen scored a goal in each half and Charleston Southern was only able to answer one as the Bulldogs prevailed, 2-1, in Big South Conference action on Senior Day at Buccaneer Field. Toni Interrant answered Asheville's second goal within a minute, but the Lady Bucs saw few opportunities to score again.

Stockhausen netted the first goal, receiving Lauren Wingo's pass from the right at the top of the box, then shooting to the opposite post. UNCA (7-6-2, 4-2-2 Big South) produced seven shots on goal in the first period to CSU's none. Following intermission, Stockhausen scored on a free kick. Charleston Southern's Interrant made a carbon copy goal on the other end, striking the ball off the hands of a leaping Veronica Lazar into the net.

Asheville outshot Charleston Southern (5-10-2, 2-6 Big South) 20 to 6, and held a shots-on-goal advantage of 10 to 2. Charleston Southern had four corner kick opportunities, one more than UNCA.

Karen Knight, the lone Charleston Southern senior, was honored before the game, the Buccaneers' regular season finale.
